Elaine Reagan is a local artist residing in Sargent, Texas on the Texas Gulf Coast. She was raised in Atlanta, Georgia where she learned to appreciate life in the Deep South. She lived in Southern California from 1985 to 2018, at which time she retired and moved to the Texas Gulf Coast.
After retiring from a 26-year career as an insurance defense and then governmental lawyer, Elaine began to practice art. Her art is based on observation of the world around her, the local, the small-scale. She finds and recreates the beauty in the ordinary things: a favorite pair of comfortable old shoes, a bee pollinating a flower, things we take for advantage every day, but without which our lives would be dull and colorless. Her goal is to open your eyes to the beauty in the things that surround us each day.
